Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.

Music Is My Inspiration ContestWell guys I've decided to start my own contest, because I had awesome feedback on the idea ^_^
It'll be my first contest that I've held...EVER! So it's very exciting :3

well hello !
things are going ok at the moment. I have bought a new 35mm f1.8 via eBay, my first through this portal and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the lens even though second hand, so will be making other purchases via ebay I think. I have to weddings to shoot this year in August and October which is ok and will bring some cash in for more kit, if I can get a couple more for this year it would be good but slowly filling my portfolio is ok for know. Wedding photography isn't the most important type of photography to me but it pays !! I'm planing to get my own dedicated photography website up toward the end of the year to advertise my work more and hope to concentrate on landscape and portraiture mostly. I'm entering 2 pieces of work to a exhibition run yearly at my towns art gallery & museum called The Williamson, I have had a couple of second places (highly commended) at successive exhibitions in previous years and sold both pieces last year for £150 a piece, so hoping to do the same this year too. I'm planing for a 2 week holiday in Croatia at the and of July with my beautiful girlfriend Vikki which should provide plenty of photography opportunities. oh yes and I have reached 102 deviants watching me not a huge number but a mile stone lets say so thank you all.

so now I'm going to do a featured thing of images that I particularly love from my favorites gallery, haven't done this before and don't know when Ill do it again but there is a first time for everything and maybe I'll get the bug. there is no theme and it's a mish mash of images but they all have caught my eye for one reason or another !so if you get featured well done and happy days, peace and love brethren peace and love !!!
