1) Anticipate the moment
Shoot a lot before the real moment comes. Once you miss it because you fumbled with your exposures, you've missed it.
2) Research
The story doesn't start when the assignment begins. You need to know the location and assignment inside out. Way before you even leave your house you have to have everything at the tip of your fingers.
3) Reach Out
Build your base. You never know when you're going to need the people around you to help with translations, rides, equipment etc.
4) Prioritise
You don't want to try everything at once. Focus on your practical component of the story.
5) Practice
Know what your camera is capable of. Not to have the latest model that you don't know how to use. It may have high potential but if you don't know how to use it, it's pointless. Use what you know how to

Why 35mm is the focal length we recognize immediately and result so well?
Well, first of all, allows capturing the right amount of contextual background when getting close to the subject, while with a 50mm lens on a full frame you’ll have to be almost on the other side of the street to get a similar result. The longer the focal length, more chances the image will look flat (keep in mind that on a dslr the use of the 24mm gives you 36mm - in average the magnification factor is 1x5 for Nikon, Sony and Pentax and 1x6 for Canon)

And then I started to discover that groups are actually the communities where dA comes to life... the villages, towns and cities, each with their own dialect or even language of art.
Groups have very different feels to them, some are like ghost towns with some great art from a glorious past in their galleries, while others are like the grand bazar where you are overwhelmed by the variety and multitude of exhibits. Then there are groups that remind me of cities like New York... if you can make it there you can make it anywhere!
So I went on a journey to find the groups I want to join, and discovered along the way that I could do more than just use them for re-exposure of my images. Street Photography - Advises on post-processingSince street photography is a kind of documentary photography, the post-processing in this case doesn’t mean strong alterations to the image such as cloning, harsh filtering or in any way altering the image content too much. There are however a few enhancing techniques which every (street) photographer should be familiar with. I will briefly go through them and provide some links to further reading and studying.

oh is it that time again ?

well here we are again kids ! I've been to Croatia this summer in August so I'm just going to start the stack off with 5 shots that I feel some the time up for me ! thanks to my beautiful girlfriend for making the holiday special x we stayed in Pula in the north for a week then went to Dubrovnik in the south by overnight ferry that sailed through the islands of the coast. we slept on the deck under the stars it was so warm, I got drunk and sang with the Italians ! Oh I'm going with a monochrome thing this time. Hope you enjoy it
