Just over half of my fellow Administrators voted on what the MEMBERS, themselves, [and Admins.] voted on, for each month of the year of 2012, from our regular monthly Top Submissions event that we hold each month.

Regarding submissions and a new contestHi folks and fellas!
You know, we accept most of your submissions gladly. There are just two things we don't like: bad quality and non-nature subjects. Concerning the latter, I have recently had to decline a few shots because the motives were not pure nature. Please remember that this group is called #Nature-Shots for a reason; we only accept photos of well, nature. Animals, landscapes, forests, etc., you get the idea. This means that we don't want to see humans or man-made subjects in our gallery. Thank you for understanding.
In other news, our dear friend *rainylake is currently holding a contest. The theme is "Friendship". Entries can be of any kind of art (even literature) and they are accepted until May 15th. Check out this journal for all the information and the long list of prizes: http://fav.me/d5wnfvd

Actually this feature is long overdue already, but I simply can't delay it any longer.
This feature is for the multi talented =Nilanja.
Besides wonderful conceptual photographs, drawings and even some artisan crafts she has revealed a new talent: writing.
And that's not all, she decided to combine it with her photography!!!
Now we are being treated to a photo and accompanying story. Both are great pieces on their own already, but together.....

The story is called Ausbruch and can be read in both German and English.

Time for some more

hello play mates !! time for a update and for another feature thing I feel. I have 2 pictures hanging in my local town Gallery & Museum, the place is called the Williamson. they are part of a summer festival of art, one of the largest of it's type in England, so very happy with that. Just hope the sell ! these are the pictures in question

I have also had my first student pass his dan grade (black belt) in go ju ryu karate. I 've had my own dojo for almost 4 years now and it was a mile stone to have a student that I've put time and effort into to get to this point and pass first time. so a very big well done to Joe and I hope the first of many !

next is, I'm off to Croatia in one month for a 2 week holiday with my beautiful girlfriend Vikki

we fly into Pula in the north of the country and stay 6 days there. Pula is about 2 hours by sea from Venice so we are hopping to get across to see the city while we are in Pula. then on the sixth day we head by ferry which takes a day and a night down the coast, through the many islands that dot the Croatian coast and stay another 6 days in Dubrovnik. we have booked an apartment above the city, with an amazing view from the bedroom window of the whole city below. we can't wait, this holiday is so much needed !!
